An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Loss Prevention Officer (Security) to join Malta Marriott Resort & Spa. 

We are seeking a dedicated Loss Prevention Officer (Security) to support the Hotel’s commitment to creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all guests and associates. In this role, you will be responsible for patrolling hotel property, monitoring security systems, and responding promptly to incidents with professionalism and care. Through proactive safety measures, thorough documentation, and guest‑focused support, you will help protect the hotel’s assets while promoting a calm and confident atmosphere. With strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and a service‑oriented approach, you will play an essential part in ensuring a secure and memorable stay that upholds Marriott’s high standards of safety and hospitality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Patrol all areas of the property to prevent safety hazards and respond to incidents.

• Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.

• Lock and secure property entrances when required.

• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and report safety risks.

• Respond to accidents and administer First Aid/CPR or contact EMS as needed. 

• Assist employees and guests during emergency situations.

• Prepare incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with company standards.

• Maintain confidentiality of all Loss Prevention documents and information.

• Assist guests with room access and address service needs professionally.

• Defuse guest or employee disturbances.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Basic First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). 

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and respond quickly (run/walk/jog) when necessary.

• Ability to lift up to 30kg (with assistance for heavier loads).
