Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technical Supervisor within the Sales Department of the Malta Marriott Resort & Spa, part of Marriott International and one of Malta’s leading 5-star hotels.

Working within the Engineering Team, the Maintenance Technical Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily maintenance operations of the property. This role ensures that all facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained in safe, efficient, and well-presented condition while leading maintenance staff and supporting uninterrupted hotel operations.

The Maintenance Technical Supervisor must demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and high energy levels, while coordinating corrective maintenance, supervising technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

• Supervise the daily activities of maintenance technicians and shift staff.

• Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.

• Support repairs related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance as required.

• Respond to and assist with emergency maintenance situations.

• Monitor the proper use and condition of tools, equipment, and materials.

• Coordinate with other departments to minimize operational disruptions and guest inconvenience.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations.

• Provides departmental leadership and acts as first point of contact when management is not present.

• Maintain accurate maintenance reports and shift handovers.

• Abide by the policies and procedures as set out in the Associate Handbook and any other applicable policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in hotel maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.

• Supervisory experience with the ability to lead, train, and motivate.

• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures and safety regulations.

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and respond effectively to emergency situations.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, as required.
