An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Chef de Partie - Pastry to join Malta Marriott Resort & Spa. 

We are seeking a skilled Senior Chef de Partie – Pastry to lead daily pastry operations and ensure the consistent preparation of high-quality desserts and baked goods. You will oversee food preparation, maintain exceptional presentation and hygiene standards, and support efficient kitchen operations while delivering an outstanding experience for our guests.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

• Prepares and properly garnishes pastry orders as they are received in accordance with recipes and proper plate presentation

• Always adheres to Marriott’s standards of preparation, recipes, and presentation

• Ensures preparation and service of all items in his/her section

• Ensures that portions and appearance of pastry items are up to standard 

• Ensures that food from own station is delivered on time; asks for help if needed 

• Refers to SOPs to ensure that preparation, cooking and presentation specifications of all dishes produced in the section are up to standard

• Assists the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen

• Communicates closely with the Team and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of his/her position so as to fill their position due to their absence.  

• Produces the food of the highest possible quality as required by the Hotel

• Trains and supports Kitchen Stewards and Trainees as required

• Takes the initiative to recommend to his/her supervisor changes in systems, methods or equipment to improve service
