An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry to join Malta Marriott Resort & Spa. 

We are seeking a dedicated Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry to support daily pastry operations and ensure the consistent preparation of high-quality desserts and baked goods. You will assist with food preparation, maintain excellent presentation and hygiene standards, and support smooth kitchen operations while delivering an exceptional experience for our guests.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

• Assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of pastry, bakery, and dessert items in accordance with approved recipes and standards

• Support the Pastry Chef de Partie in managing daily operations of the assigned pastry section

• Ensure that pastry items meet quality, portion, and presentation standards

• Follow SOPs to ensure correct preparation, baking, finishing, and presentation of all pastry items

• Ensure timely preparation and delivery of pastry items for service

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas

• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times

• Assist with ordering, receiving, and stock rotation as directed

• Report any equipment malfunction or safety concerns to the supervisor

• Support training of Commis Chefs, Trainees, and Kitchen Stewards when required

• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations

• Perform duties of the Pastry Chef de Partie during absence when required

• Other duties as assigned by management
