At Malta Marriott Resort & Spa, they are looking to recruit a Demi Chef in Pastry who is positive, creative, dedicated, and passionate about everything they do and who is proud to be associated with one of the most recognisable hospitality brands in the world. This is where you come in.
Responsibilities:
Ensure food stuff are of good quality and stored correctly
Be environmentally aware
Prepare and present high-quality dishes within company guidelines
Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross-contamination
Assist with the maximisation of F&B revenue through effective food cost control
Produce consistent quality specialised meals
Assist to supervise your section, including the development of Team Members
Work closely with our Chef De Partie and Sous Chefs
Assist in developing and delivering menus that ensure satisfaction.
Requirements:
Ability to work on your own or in teams
Positive attitude
Ability to communicate in English
Commitment to deliver excellent customer service
Ability to work flexible hours
Possession of food handling license
ITS graduate or similar qualification
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar environment
Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
